Enjoy two of the most iconic cruise shore excursions in Grand Cayman all in one affordable and very competitive excursion. Educational, exciting, and just plain fun ... experience the snorkeling highlights of the Cayman Islands! A large stable boat makes this shore excursion great for all ages (compared to the competition). Experience both, the world-famous Stingray City and the Coral Barrier Reef!

The friendly snorkel shore excursion staff will be waiting for you just across from your cruise ship tender terminal in Grand Cayman. They will get you checked in and on the transportation for a short 15-minute drive to the dock where your unique snorkel excursion boat is waiting. You will slip off your shoes and find your spot onboard.

As the snorkel excursion boat moves away from the dock, the English-speaking snorkel shore excursion crew will go over all of the safety information about the boat and your excursion (and of course assist you with all questions you may have about the best way to snorkel in Grand Cayman). Then you can sit back and relax on the way to the first stop about 15 minutes away, world-famous Stingray City (one of the rare spots in the world to interact with free swimming and friendly stingrays and the second largest barrier coral reef. The sequence of activities/snorkel location on this excursion may be changed by the operator in order to provide the best possible snorkeling experience). There is plenty of room for everyone on the boat - shade, sun, bow or bench seating.

When you pull up to the reef, the crew will pass out the snorkel gear (full snorkel equipment included in this Grand Cayman excursion), demonstrate how to best use it and then assist everyone in the water. There is a large platform on the back of the boat and 2 large metal ladders to make water access easy. Note that there is ample snorkeling gear that fits most guests ages 4 years and up. Guests and parents are welcome to bring their own gear and infant life jackets.

The Cayman Islands are renowned for their outstanding marine life and snorkel excursion opportunities. You will have your chance to see and live it for yourself. Snorkeling at the barrier reef is like floating in an aquarium - clear warm water, brightly colored tropical fish, and amazing coral formations. You are welcome to bring a waterproof camera to record your Grand Cayman snorkeling shore excursion memories. You will spend about 45 minutes at the reef before moving to the next stop. 

It is just a short hop across the way to the famous Stingray City. The highly experienced staff will provide you with information about the friendly rays, and how to interact with them (sometimes even feed them), making this an educational, informational, and safe interactive snorkel cruise shore excursion experience in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. 

Stingray City is actually a shallow sandbar-protected marine area where southern stingrays have gathered over the years. What started off decades ago as an area for fishermen to clean their catch, the rays have associated the arriving boats with free fish handouts. But not to upset Mother Nature's balance, the treats are given very limitedly so the rays still must go out and feed on their own. 

Your Grand Cayman Coral Reef Snorkel and Stingray City Shore Excursion staff will help you enter the water to play with the stingrays. Although they are wild marine creatures, they are not aggressive nor do they bite. The guides will be assisting you in the water at all times. Feed, pet, or maybe even plant a kiss on one - there are great photo opportunities. Please bring your own waterproof camera. You will have about 45 minutes at Stingray City.

The shore excursion crew will then assist you back on the boat where you can use the freshwater rinse-off shower, stretch out and relax with some complimentary fruit punch or water as the boat heads back to the dock. Enjoy some music, get up and dance or just soak up some sun. The transportation will take you back to your Grand Cayman cruise ship tender terminal at the end of this shore excursion.
