You will begin your fun-filled shore excursion right inside your Grand Cayman cruise ship tender terminal where you will find your guide and a comfortable, air-conditioned, shuttle bus waiting for you. You will enjoy a scenic 15-minute drive from the terminal to the nearby Safe Haven Yacht Club where you will be welcomed on board a 48 ft boat (14 meters) by the English-speaking snorkel excursion crew. Pick a spot and get comfortable while your experienced captain then heads out to the exciting and famous Stingray City on a short 25-minute boat ride.
Once you arrive at Stingray City you will find yourself on a shallow sandbar being introduced to the numerous friendly Southern Rays. In fact, you may well meet many of these gentle stingrays who have become accustomed to humans over many years. Don't be surprised if you get a little hug as you are shown how to feed them. Bottled water is provided on the boat for guests. You may choose to snorkel over the rays if you wish as well. All snorkel gear is provided including masks, snorkels, fins as well as snorkel vests for those who wish to use one. The crew will show you how to use it all. Once your fun with the rays is completed, the crew will help you back on board your safe shore excursion boat. You will have approximately 45 minutes in the water with the rays.
Then your captain will take off for Coral Gardens reef where the water is only about 10 feet deep (3 meters). The shore excursion crew will help you into the water for another unique experience. Snorkel over top of colorful coral that is home to a wide variety of tropical fish. With crystal clear water that remains warm, you are sure to enjoy all the sights. Your snorkel excursion guide will make sure to point out anything of particular interest so you won't miss anything. You will have approximately 30 minutes of snorkeling at Coral Gardens. When your snorkel time is completed at Coral Gardens, you will head back to the boat dock where you'll board the transportation for a brief drive to the famous Grand Cayman Turtle Farm, which is your last stop.
Once you've arrived at the Turtle Farm you will have the chance to hold and learn about these fascinating creatures. You can also take a guided walk through the educational center at no extra cost. There is a turtle touch tank and wading pool for some hands-on learning. Young or old or in between, there is much to see, do, and learn at the Turtle Farm. Guests will enjoy approximately 1.5 hours at the Turtle Farm. Note: The lagoon is not included in this excursion.
