    Excursion Notes
      • This excursion takes place in the rainforest. During the rainy season, (September to November) please bring a raincoat. Excursion operates rain or shine.
      • Bring along sun protection, a camera, and cash for snacks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
      • Our excursions are in small groups only.
      • Please note this excursion is for cruise ship guests only.
      • There is a minimum of 4 participants needed to run the excursion.

    • The maximum age for zip lining is 76 years old.
    • The maximum waist allowed on the zip line is 50in (127cm) to fit into the harness.
    • The maximum weight limit is 270 pounds.
    • This excursion is not wheelchair accessible or friendly.

    If the ship arrives late, do you wait for us?
    Yes. For cruise passengers, we will wait for the necessary time if there are delays with the docking procedures or clearance by the local authorities.
    Will they cancel this Puerto Limon Zip Line Adventure and Tortuguero Jungle River Cruise Excursion if it rains? 
    This Costa Rica shore excursion takes place in the rainforest so we recommend you bring a raincoat during the rainy season which is from September to November. This excursion will operate rain or shine, of course, our local operator will consider your safety first.
    Can I expect to see wildlife during this excursion? 
    During the boat ride along Tortuguero Canal you might catch a glimpse of monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, iguanas, and much more.
    How many ziplines are there? Which is the longest line?
    There are 12 zip lines which make a total circuit of 6,500ft. The longest line is 1,500ft.
    In case I get tired and don't want to finish the zipline portion, is there a way for me to go back to the base?
    Sure! At platform 7 you can tell your zipline guide and he'll make the arrangements for you to return to the base.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Puerto Limon Zip Line Canopy and Tortuguero Jungle River Cruise Excursion to show with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Puerto Limon Zip Line Canopy and Tortuguero Jungle River Cruise Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

We had a choice to book a similar tour on our cruise, but chose this one instead and I am so glad we did. Our genuinely friendly guide was passionate about his love for his country and so full of knowledge about his homeland. The smaller group was able to accomplish more than the larger cruise tours. We got in and out of the zip line faster (which was so fun!) so we had more time to enjoy the lovely canal and see sloths up in the trees as well as other wildlife on the boat tour. Thanks for a memorable day - makes me want to come back to beautiful Costa Rica!

We both had a wonderful experience zip lining in Costa Rica. The guide was great giving us all safety instructions beforehand and also helped us with the equipment. The boat ride was awesome and we saw those GIANT crocodiles...OMG!!!

This was on of the best tours that I was on, on my vacation. The staff was very helpful and safety conscious. The zip line brakes were applied by the staff which takes the guess work out of when to stop before hitting a tree.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! We loved the activities, and how friendly all the guides were. They were seriously all stellar, and were extremely informative. I wish I could remember the guides name when we went, but we loved him! Highly recommend. Ziplining was a dream. They met us just outside of the port.

My daughter and I booked this tour as a cruise excursion and had a great experience. We just returned having done the trip over the holidays. The tour guide and driver were very competent, knowledgeable and friendly. Both expressed a willingness to ensure we had a good time. The zip line was terrific. A real thrill !!! It was very well organized and the crew was great....competent. They made us feel safe. We were one of the first groups of the day, we had plenty on the lines and never felt like it was rushed. It really exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this trip to others. It was also better priced that what we would have gotten if booked with the ship. We saw plenty of wildlife- birds, sloths, reptiles, lizards, monkeys on the tour.

This was a great tour from a fantastic tour company. We were met right on the gangway and taken in a lovely air conditioned van to the zip lining facility. The staff there were safe, competent and very friendly. There's also the chance to get proper photo for memories. Rey, our guide, then took us on a river boat cruise. His knowledge of his country and wildlife was excellent. He helped each person see whichever animal they really cared about. There was an abundance of wildlife! We finished with a surprise visit to a banana plantation which was so interesting and with Rey's sense of humour, very entertaining. Really great trip with a great tour operator.

This tour was fantastic!! I can't say enough about it. It was exciting and informational all in one. The zip line was the best we have done yet (we have done ziplining in several ports). We loved seeing the jungle this way. We were tired at the end of the day but it was worth every minute. Dying to do this again!!!!

Perfect choice for my family of nature lovers. My 11 year old especially liked the boat ride. We were able to see so much wildlife. Do not forget your camera and I do suggest you bring bug spray as they suggest! The fruit and coffee at the end were a treat.
