Experience the natural landscape beauty with a guided bike ride on Stone Island! Discover the ecosystem, exploring a fruit orchard, bamboo plantation, and a beautiful flower garden filled with colorful butterflies and charming hummingbirds. Assist in the creation of a traditional dessert, fish grill, and an island toast from a quaint beachside hut.
You will meet your knowledgeable, local English speaking guide at your Mazatlan cruise terminal where you will be transported to Playa Sur and board a small fishing boat called a panga for the short ride to Stone Island. When you reach Stone Island, the guide will go over everything with you. Then you will receive your personally fitted bicycle and helmet to ensure comfort throughout the day. They will run by the schedule and safety instructions as well.
Once everyone in your small group of just 10 maximum is ready, the guide will lead you on the way. You will learn about the culture and social life through entertaining anecdotes from them along the way as well as explore Stone Island.
Upon arrival at Leonilas House, you will stop and help to make a coconut dessert for indulging a little later. Then you will enter the stunning Stone Island Botanical Gardens. You will pedal down a secluded highway on your bike to your next destination. Three miles and 1. 5 hours later you will arrive at La Palapa del Che, a cozy beachside hut where you will feast on a freshly prepared fish grill (a vegetarian option is available upon request) and the dessert you made earlier in the day. After lunch, you will have free time to enjoy the hammocks, bask in the warm sun, and enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific. Your adventure on Stone Island wraps up here.
You will board the panga and return the short distance back over to the city where you will be transported back to your Mazatlan cruise terminal to board your ship or continue to explore at your own expense.
