Enjoy an exciting journey to Victoria with scenic ocean travel, the enchanting Butchart Gardens, and an introduction to the beautiful waterfront city of Victoria.

A great option for those guests either before or after their cruise with pickup and drop-off at the cruise pier or even an option for drop-off at the airport. Or if you are staying in a hotel, the transportation will pick you up there. Your guide will welcome you aboard as you head out on this sightseeing excursion to see the beautiful city of Victoria and the amazing Butchart Gardens.

View the spectacular British Columbia coastline by land and ship, followed by a stop at Butchart Gardens en route to the British-inspired city of Victoria. Board a BC Ferries vessel for a 90-minute sail through the serene beauty of the Gulf Islands (your ferry ticket is included). Marine wildlife sightings from the outdoor ship decks are common, especially eagles, sea lions, and whales.

Arrive at Swartz Bay terminal on Vancouver Island with your guide and continue to the enchanting botanical paradise of Butchart Gardens. As the family home of the Butcharts and their lime quarry, the gardens began as the lime started to run out in approximately 1910. Wander through a series of themed gardens such as the Japanese, Italian, or Rose gardens, and highlighted by the massive Sunken Garden and the dancing fountain. There are numerous bronze statues throughout as well as many varieties of birds that were brought in by the Butcharts. Visitors are always treated to a colorful welcome as the staff uses over 1 million bedding plants and 900+ varieties that bloom throughout the year. It is easy to see why Butchart Gardens are one of BC's most popular attractions.

The excursion will then head into the City of Victoria which boasts many impressive architectural wonders, including the iconic Parliament Buildings and the waterfront Fairmont Empress Hotel. Visit the unique shops and cafes of Government Street and Chinatown. Stroll along the Inner Harbor for prime ocean views, and enjoy some free time to take in this culturally significant city.

Your guide and transportation will return to Vancouver by ferry (90 minutes) and will drop you off at the cruise ship terminal, your hotel or at the airport, if you have a flight out.
