Get ready for some adventure on your cruise stop at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. This 4-in-1 adventure shore excursion has ATVs, horseback riding, zip lines, and a swimming pool all for you to do...pick and choose or do them all.
You will meet your Amber Cove shore excursion guide just outside of your Amber Cove cruise ship gate. Here you'll board a transfer vehicle and travel about 10 - 15 minutes to Country World Adventure Park. You'll have your choice of one or all of the activities offered. Each excursion activity is approximately 1 - 1.5 hours.
The ATV 4-wheel adventure takes you off-road through the Dominican countryside and the foothills of the Isabel de Torres mountains. Get in touch with nature and have a chance to see the daily lives of the Dominicans. The ATVs are single riders or double riders (see restrictions). Once everyone is ready, the excursion guide will lead you out to explore the trails.
Beginners and experts are welcome to join a horseback ride through the countryside and foothills. Instructions will be given to novices and children before you set off for some breathtaking views following your guide along the paths. The right horse will be matched to your riding skills so you can relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings. No galloping is allowed (see restrictions).
See the area from the treetops on the 8 ACCT-certified zip lines. Fly through the air on various lines of over 7,900 feet of double, galvanized steel cable. Beginners are welcome as the lines are hands-free with no active braking using gloves like most zip lines. Zip over the park while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean. After your safety briefing, the guide will get you into your harness then off to the first platform where you will be clipped onto the line and gravity zips you over to the next platform where the process is repeated. On the 9th zip line, you can end in the pool so don't forget your swimsuit! This leads to the 4th activity...the Pool Zip N Splash!
A relaxing, refreshing pool calls your name to jump in. The pool also has a kids' area and lifejackets are available. You can even enjoy the pool bar to purchase beverages.
Due to time issues, if you want to do all the activities, you'll need to follow the pre-scheduled itinerary (activities will be adjusted to your ship's time in port, activity durations are approximate).
You might decide to take a stroll around the gardens and learn about the variety of fruits and plants you'll see there, the total time to complete the garden circuit is 20 minutes. On your way, you'll be able to spot some of the rescued animals that now make it their home.
You'll be treated to some local home-cooked dishes of rice, beans, chicken or beef, fried sweet potatoes, yucca, vegetables, and tropical fruits. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase at your own expense. Bring your appetite!
