    For this Skagway and White Pass Summit Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide right at your Skagway cruise pier area. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

    Excursion Notes
      • Transportation for this excursion is done by van and small buses, allowing stops at sites large buses cannot enter.
      • There are basic restrooms at some of the stops.
      • The excursion departs and returns to the United States. Regardless of where your cruise began, you must have a passport.
      • Guests without a passport will be denied boarding and will not be eligible for a refund of their excursion, please see "Restrictions" for more information.
      • Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
      • We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof. Sensible walking shoes are also suggested.
      • We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.

    Excursion Restrictions
    • All participants must check in at least 15 minutes before departure.
    • The excursion will be crossing into Canada briefly (not through the border checkpoint), and then returning back to the United States. 
    • REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU BOARD YOUR CRUISE SHIP: As of June 1, 2009, all U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 16 and older traveling between the U.S. and Canada, by land will be required to present a valid Passport, Passport Card (or government-authorized "enhanced" drivers license). We suggest you bring a photo I.D. as well. U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old or younger may travel with a certified birth certificate. People of all other citizenships are required to have a photo I.D., a passport, and a visa (If required).
    • All Minors Must be Accompanied by a Legal Guardian.
    • Please bring your USA Visa if your citizenship requires it for entering the USA.

    This Skagway and White Pass Highlights Excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The local cruise excursion operator will decide at the time of departure, to postpone or cancel the excursion.
    Will I see wildlife on this Skagway Sightseeing Shore Excursion?
    Although there is no guarantee to wildlife sightings, the further you go from civilization, the better your chances become.
    Will I be able to see the White Pass and Yukon Railroad from the highway?
    Not only does the highway parallel the White Pass and Yukon Railroad (on opposite sides of the valley) but it also allows more visibility out of the transportation and photo stops along the way.
    Is the White Pass in the Yukon?
    No. The White Pass is located between Alaska and British Columbia. You must drive 35 miles through British Columbia to reach the Yukon Territory.
    Do I need to take my passport with me on the Skagway White Pass Summit and Highlights Excursion to show along with my Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket?
    YES, it is necessary to take along your passport (except for some Alaska Shore Excursions if you are US or Canadian citizen. For more information please see info on our website or contact us). You will need to print and show your Electronic Ticket as well as any other documents required or sent to you for this excursion. Everything needed will be listed on your E-ticket.
    Cancellation

    For the Skagway White Pass Summit and Highlights Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Perfect introduction tour to Alaska and Canada which will help me on future cruises. We had many stops and perfectly narrated by our guide Mike who was phenomenal. The dramatic landscape is worth exploring and this is the perfect way to do so. You read about the history of the Klondike Gold Rush in books but one can only imagine what it was like in the past without the help of highways, roads, trains etc...
