The tour included many different aspects which I enjoyed. We got to see the flamingos, pink salt flats, and the Mayan ruins before being taken to an all inclusive area. The all inclusive area had access to the beach and pool with unlimited food and drinks. However, the best part about this excursion was our tour guide Jorge. He made the experience amazing and was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour would not have been the same without him!

My son and I booked this excursion before we sailed away on Carnival. I'm so glad we did this!! We were met just off the pier by Aaron who let us sit in the air conditioned van until the other 6 passengers arrived. He also guaranteed that we would be back to board the ship on time (they let us out by the souvenir shops by the pier). Our tour guide was Luis. Our first stop was at a small convenience store for snacks and drinks because he said they would be much cheaper here than at the planned stops. Everything was in pesos, and he walked thru the store with us and told us prices in US$. The pink salt flats were interesting, and we got to hold a Jellyfish!! There was a short drive to the Xcambo ruins, but we stopped and saw flamingos along the way. Luis kept us entertained on the drive, and he spoke English very well. He was also very knowledgeable at the ruins, and demonstrated part of the sacrificial ceremony. We were trying to get the perfect photos and he offered to take pics for us. Each person in our group felt like a VIP thanks to him. Our last stop was the Silcer Beach Club. Perfect views, even better drinks. Luis recommended drinks for us and made sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the day, Luis got our contact info and after the tour was over with, he messaged us to make sure we made it back on board. He was more than a tour guide, I now feel like we have a friend!!!

There were 5 of us on a bus. The driver tried a few different spots to see the flamingos which we appreciated. During our tour, our guide Jorge M was incredible! He was friendly and extremely knowledge and provided us with all sorts of interesting facts. He really made the trip fun. We ended up at Slicers Beach Club. The food was just ok and it was crowded but the staff was friendly. Our only disappointment was the salt flats and lagoons were not pink, but that wasn't your fault. The homemade tortillas were fabulous!

The salt flats are amazing to see. We didn't get to see many flamingos due to the recent rains, but we very much enjoyed the history of mining salt. The Xcambo ruins are a wonder. I love the fact that you can climb to the top. Bianca is a great tour guide. She really knows her history!

I went on an all inclusive tour of the salt flats and ruins. Our hosts were personable, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I was very pleased with the driver. The tours were amazing. Very small group with a nice guide. After the pleasant, in depth, and historical tour, we returned to the private beach club for some amazing food and relaxation on the beach. I highly recommend their company!

I cannot stop talking about our Progreso Excursion! It was such a good time! Our guide was so nice and very informative. We got to meet and purchase things from the locals at the beautiful salt flats, as well as fresh ice cream outside of the Mayan Ruins. We did the all inclusive beach break and it was well worth it, the food was great and the drinks were flowing! Only thing I would have liked a tiny bit better was if shots were included in the package but that wasnt a deal breaker by any means. Very cool excursion in Progreso!

We had an amazing time at the Pink Lagoons and Mayan Ruins with our guide Edgar! We got off to a bit of a slow start trying to gather everyone but once we were all there everything went very smoothly. We were able to visit the pink lagoons and even purchase some of the pink salt! They were probably one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. We got lots of great photos with our phones and learned the history of the pink salt, then on to get a quick look at the flamingos. So neat to see them in their natural habitat just hanging out in the water. The Mayan Ruins was an interesting sight to see with lots of history, well explained by Edgar. We weren't there too long, just long enough to get some history and great pictures then on to the Tecnohotel beach resort. There we were well accommodated with all you can eat food and drinks. The food and drinks were great. We sat poolside while the kids played and listened to music. I took a quick look at the beach and thought the pool was a better fit for us. So glad we got to do this excursion!!

This was our first time visiting Progreso, Yucatan and wish we could stay longer to know more about the place. We visited the Mayan Ruins learned about the ancients and Mayans, the pink lagoon was great, spotted few flamingos around the area and learn about the salt flats, finally we had a decent beach break after all with cold drinks and food. Our guide Manuel went above and beyond taking good care of us, he was patient and attentive at all times. Definitely will return to Progreso at least for a week to learn more about their culture and many other places we missed to visit.

We did a 5 day cruise with Carnival Cruise lines with 2 stops Cozumel and Progreso. Cozumel was easy, there is a lot to do there but Progreso didn't have much to offer and we booked this just as a filler to kill time and didn't expect much from it. We were WRONG this was probably the best day of the entire trip for us, the salt flats were ok not many Flamingo's out there but the ruins were cool and interesting got a lot of good pictures of them with the family. The beach club was ok there were plenty of chairs, the beach and water were clean, the family had fun so what more can you ask for. The food was well food but not horrible and we really didn't use the bar service all that much but it looked like they were taking care of people pretty well. Everyone on the entire excursion were nice, polite and attentive to us and we really had a great time. Now the number one thing was Manuel, he was our tour guide and you couldn't ask for better, he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and was very knowledgeable and friendly for the entire trip. The excursion was fun but Manuel made great! If you going there you should really check this one out.

Our guide was amazing! Super knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. We didn’t get to see much of the flamingos. The salt flats my favorite! It’s very interesting and souvenirs were very inexpensive. There was a lady making delicious tacos with freshly handmade corn tortillas and delicious salsa. Mayan Ruins were interesting! I was a bit disappointed on the beach club where we were taken for lunch. Our server was very attentive but the food wasn’t the best. Tacos at salt flats were much better. Our server kept drinks coming which was the only positive thing I have to say about this club. Restroom was dirty , and only a few beach chairs available. There is a lot of driving around. Thank goodness the van that transported us was clean and air conditioner worked great. Tip: take water with you! I was extremely thirsty between venues

This was an overall ok/good excursion. The guide was really good and made it better, but the length of time to and from everything was lengthy! Also, we waited a LONG time to even leave the meeting point. We were told it was because someone was no-show. As we were on the way, we picked someone else up to join the excursion, so that was also kind of weird, and probably made it take longer. Our first stop was to the flamingos, but they were too far out and we couldn't see them. Next we went to the pink lagoons and that was really neat. The next stop was to Xcambo ruins. Our guide, Manuel, was really informative. Last we made it to the beach club. The food was good. The club was in the smaller side, but it was not crowded, so it was nice.

Progresso appears to be an up and coming cruise destination. Our excursion was booked last minute after getting recommendations from others to give Shore Excursioneer a chance. The excursion host, our guide, our driver, and the staff at the Beach Break were all amazing. I had a little trouble finding the meeting place because most of the locals would rather sell you something than help guide you to the right location. Once we found Aaron everything worked out. The transportation was safe, clean and air conditioned. Unfortunately the flamingos were too far away to get any pictures of, but the Pink Salt Lagoon was really interesting. The Mayan Ruins were cool to see and climb, and daughters really enjoyed it. The Beach Break was the best part. A large amount of food of all kinds, unlimited drinks, beach access and pool access were great. I would definitely recommend this to others.

This is the first time I have used this company. I was skeptical because of the way it was set up. I didn't understand why I couldn't pay the entire amount on PayPal. I called the company to confirm that it was not a scam. Not only did they reassure me but sent me my ticket immediately. Once I got off the ship they were located right where they said they were going to be. I checked in & paid the rest of my tour. The van was clean & air conditioned. We went to the beach club to pick up our tour guide Manuel. He spoke clearly & was extremely friendly. He gave us each a bottle of water & we were off. He gave us some history of the Mayan's & we stopped to see the pink salt water. He wanted us to taste an official Mayan pork dish but were to early so we headed to the pink flamingos. We stopped for about 10 minutes to take pictures & headed to the Mayan Ruins. Our group had several older people in it & Manuel was patient & made sure everyone kept up. Then we went back to the pink salt to try the Mayan pork. It was fantastic. A couple of people did not get off the van so he brought them back a sample. Finally we headed to the beach club. I had my doubts about this part but it ended up being my favorite. They had an adult only area where I enjoyed my Miami Vice drinks & some nachos. They had music & other activities on the beach. The waiters were wonderful & helpful.

This was a good excursion. Transportation was clean and good. Salt flats were not pink due to recent rain, but still neat! The flamingos were far out in water because of breeding but we did see them. Our excursion almost didn't happen because there was no one to pick us up at the port due to some miscommunication with the company. It was quickly solved and we were on our way (a little anxiously) to the Silcer Beach club. There we met Jose who would be our tour guide to all the stops. He was so kind and full of knowledge. The fact that he lived most of his life in Dallas, TX made us feel instantly comfortable with him. Since my husband and I were the only two on the excursion, we got to do everything at our speed. The ruins were about 25 miles away and we stopped to see the flamingos and the salt mine on the way. Neither of those stops took very long. The ruins were small but really amazing! The government charges $5 to take pictures before you get to the ruins so keep that in mind. We ended the excursion back at the Silcer Beach Club for the last two hours. It was very small but very nice and clean. The service was excellent! There was a buffet that had OK food and drinks that were included. Bud Light was extra and there was a menu that you could order from which was also extra. Jose actually stayed with us the whole time we were there and rode with us back to port. Overall, I am so glad we did this excursion!!

I️ have to say that between Bianca and David this was hands down the best tour that we have had in a long time. Bianca wants to make sure that you get that great experience. David was our tour guide and made our trip an incredibly special day! He was very knowledgeable and personable and really went the extra mile to make our excursion a great one. The staff was amazing but the beach park itself was a little run down and small. Beach was unimpressive and crowded with vendors. Overall still a good trip but wouldn’t have been worth it without Bianca and David.

There's nothing like taking an excursion where you learn and have fun at the same time. We visited the ruins and our tour guide gave us a history lesson on how the Mayans constructed this place. We went to the beach afterwards and had a relaxing afternoon with lots of food and drink options before returning to our cruise.

We stop at Progreso on our cruise trip last month. The weather was great, warm but with a nice breeze. The guide was very friendly and fun and shared some stories about each place we visited. The pink lagoon was actually a salt flat but is a vivid shade of pink. It was awesome as well as the Mayan Ruins. Xcambo was not a giant sized ruins but perfect for our day. There were hardly any other visitors. Last but not least, the beach break, that was definitely the best closure for the day. Just relaxation, tasty Mexican food and cold beers.
