    No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
    Cancellation

    For the Costa Maya YaYa Beach Club Day Pass: Platinum, Deluxe & Standard, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.

This was a wonderful experience all around. No guide for this but instructions were very good on what to do and expect. There were 9 of us across all ages. Taxi driver knew right where to take us and taxis were available to return us to the pier when we were ready. We were greeted warmly and after checking in, shown our beach loungers for the day at the edge of the beach. Greg was our server and did a great job. We had a variety of passes in our group but Greg kept up with the ones with inclusive passes as well as thos with only day passes. Food and drink were great. Lots of vendors, but they did not dwell and took a “no” in stride. We will definitely return next time at Costa Maya! Thank you, YaYa Beach and Shore Excursioneer!

We had a great time. Everything was as advertised. The good: The staff was friendly. The manager/owner spoke great English if you’re concerned about communication. The water, palm trees, and beach area are beautiful. The Sun beds had optional shade and the beds are close to the water and bar was steps away. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. The cab ride was $4 per person from the port. It was a quick 10 min ride to the beach. Taxi’s are clearly regulated so there’s not a lot of worry about being ripped off. There is access to restrooms and an outdoor shower. The guacamole and chips were awesome. Ord them… you won’t be disappointed. They rake seaweed off the beach. Kids get free soft drinks, water, and a kid’s meal of quesadillas or nachos. It’s a nice touch for families. There are optional massages offered on the beach for an extra cost. They appear to be private contractors (not YaYa staff). They gave me a high price quote at first, but came down on the price after I started to walk away. It was a nice massage. The not-so-great: There was some garbage along the beach on the property that had been pushed aside, but not thrown in trash. Vendors approach often, but leave if you say no thanks. It wasn’t a big deal to us, but may be bothersome to others. The bad: Nothing. There was nothing bad about this excitation. Overall, it was a nice beach day that is great for families. Bring towels and any beach toys your kids may want to use.

Yaya is a short 10 minute drive from the port. It was a peaceful spot, away from the packed usual spot for many cruisers.We choose the non-alcohol drink/lunch package. The service was good and the food was excellent! We had a spot right at the water. The vendors accepted a no and went on their way. The water was warm and lovely. The lighthouse is about a 15 minute walk. We took a taxi from there back to the pier.

It was very pretty. Definitely has the nice soft sand! However there are alot of vendors that walk buy if you sit in the row closest to the water. The beach bed was very nice and I liked the thatched umbrellas!

We had a fantastic time at the ya ya beach club! Getting a taxi over to the resort from the pier was a breeze, and like $5 a person. The location of the beach club was just far enough from the pier that we didn’t have to deal with a lot of other people which was nice. We had a pretty good lunch, and good drinks. There were vendors hitting us up all day, but we didn’t mind too much. We also got a beach massage which was fantastic too.

We did enjoy our time although the beach and the cushions seemed to need some cleaning. Boats are parked right in front of where you sit, which makes for a pretty backdrop, but in order to swim, you have to go out around them. There was lots of trash and debris that had washed up on shore when we arrived but by the time we left, someone had come by to rake it up. Our server was very nice and patient. He kept our drink and food requests coming! The food was excellent. I only wish we had looked at our itinerary more closely as we only had half a day to spend at YaYa.

Ya Ya has very comfortable padded chase lounge chairs and palapas that are large enough to keep you shaded. The snack provided was more than enough for lunch. Good smoothies. They buy their ice so it is safe to have in your drink. Eight dollar cab ride for two from the cruise terminal.

My wife and I recently spent a day at Ya Ya Beach Club in Costa Maya. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. The beach was beautiful, the water was clear and warm. Having a day bed beneath a palapa right on the water was nothing short of breath taking. We went with the premium non-alcoholic package. We both really enjoyed the lemon smoothies. The food was also tasty that came with the package. I wouldn’t hesitate to come hear again in the future.

Upon arrival we were checked in and escorted to a large, covered beach lounger directly in front of the ocean. The facility was clean, beautiful and charming. The server (I think his name was Sergio) was very friendly. The drinks were great especially the strawberry daiquiri and margaritas. The all-inclusive option we purchased also included lunch, which was great. We loved it and would definitely return! Taxi drivers charged us $4 per person each way.

Getting there was pretty easy after you get through the Costa Maya cruise port (which is huge). We just told the taxi driver we had a reservation at Yaya beach and he took us right there and it only cost $8 total for my family. Our waiter was VERY nice. He kept the drinks flowing all afternoon for the most part.

We were quite disappointed with this excursion. We found the beach to be underwhelming and the food and service was average. You will be harassed ALL DAY by vendors and can not walk around to look in shops without people begging you to purchase their merchandise. I have been to Mexico several times, but this by far was the worst experience I have encountered with pushy vendors. It made my 2 daughters uncomfortable, and we left early. The food is also average at best. I would not recommend or go back.

Easy/short taxi ride from port ($3 per person). Wonderful service throughout the day with a quiet beachfront setting. Lots of comfy cushioned seating in the sun or shade. Local food was great and included, as were the plentiful drinks (we got the all-inclusive plans). Bathrooms on premise with showers. Located along a quaint pedestrian walkway with many adjacent small shops to browse. Snorkeling was easy right off of Yaya's nice sandy white beach - saw many different tropical fish. Was also fun to sit at the open bar and mingle with others if so desired. On premise massage options and very polite local vendors. Will absolutely do this excursion the next time we are in Costa Maya!!! Recommend 100% for adults, children and retirees (we had all in our group of 12).

Had a relaxing time at the beach much better priced than the cruise line! The setting was beautiful and comfortable, and the massage was divine. The only reason I took away 1 star was the annoyance of the many vendors trying to sell goods there. It wouldn't be so bad if they just set up tables, but trying to nap or just relax was near impossible. I understand this is how they make their living, but I am more willing to buy something if it is on display and not hanging from your arm. JMHO

I will start by telling you the one negative. This can't be helped by the owners. The ocean in Costa Maya is full of seaweed. I saw this complaint on every other beach excursion I found in Costa Maya. We chose this because it had no negative reviews. I didn't think you can avoid this on this island. So don't go exhorting crystal clear waters. We arrived late since we did some shopping first, and they greeted us right away, offered us our first drink and asked us when we wanted our food. They have these cute swing chairs at the bar. Then they havea waiter take us to our seats, we choose, they will adjust them to be in Sun or under their shades. We are offered the massages right away ($25 for half hour, or $40 for hour. I told them I'd take mine after eating. I get regular massages so I can honestly tell you they do a good job. There are vendors trying to sell things, but they actually had nice items, and if you said no they left without hounding you. When we needed to leave the waiter got us our cab promptly. Over all I was very pleased with this excursion. We almost didn't go due to some rain, since we'd only paid the down payment, but then I realized they'd still charge the rest if you're a no show (something to keep in mind) , I'm happy we went. Note, when you leave the dock, go past the 'busses' the cabs are just a little further and take you right to this excursion and cost less than the busses.

We had the pleasure of visiting YaYa beach club last week, and it really does look as pretty as in the pictures! We took a 10 minute taxi ride ($8) from the cruise port and found the location easily. As we arrived, Sergio (I could be saying his name wrong) took wonderful care of us. He showed us to our area, and made sure we had all of the food and drinks that we needed. He made us feel like a priority, and really contributed to our overall experience. The beach area is a little smaller, but they do a great job of maintaining of it. The comments regarding the vendors are correct, but the closer you are to the resort, the less they bother you. If you are in the water, they do not bother you. None of them are mean or troublesome, they’re just people trying to make a living. We didn’t mind too much, but some people may not enjoy that. The food plate we had (3 tacos, quesadillas, tortilla chips, pico and guacamole) was very good. They brought it out to us with napkins, cutlery, and even some very tasty hot sauces! They really take care of you. Once it was time to go, our host walked us down the street to the taxi location (which we VERY much appreciated). I would say if you are looking for a relaxing time at the beach in Costa Maya, this is definitely the place for you. It was quiet, and serene. I recommend getting there early enough to snag a bed, and sit closer to the resort to avoid vendors. I took comfort in knowing it was close to the port (I could see the ship) yet still really felt like I was spending a day in Mexico!

We had a wonderful time on beach break day! They took great care of us and made sure we where comfortable and had everything we needed. When it was time to go they even got a taxi for us. For the price it was perfect and the food was yummy. Yes people will walk us and ask if you want to buy their wears, but a simple no thank you and they walk away. We did get a few things that i feel We got a good deal on compared to the port cost. I will Go back for sure!!!

Easy to catch $3 shuttle to Yaya.. just make sure you don't get off too soon. Check in was a snap and after the arm band was on, the drinks started flowing. Jorge was great at making sure everything was to our liking. Mexican lunch was good and filling. Brought our own fold-up floats as there are no water toys provided. Swim area is designated but there is a sand bar within a short swim. Lots of vendors hawking their wares up and down the beach, but all seemed to understand "no". Wonderful, relaxing day in the water.

5 minute taxi ride from the cruise pier. Wonderful people (Sergio is a very nice guy). Beautiful soft sand beaches. Lunch was very filling, drinks were generous. Down side is too many vendors walking thru the place all day long. The only time were not interrupted was when we were in the water. Nice people, and most did not pester us once we said no. But Freddie selling bracelets.... WOW. Enough already. Sergio arranged for 2 taxis when we were ready to head out. He was a great and fun to learn a little about the local area. Not sure we will include this stop next year, but if you don't mind the vendors, it is a nice place.

If you want a beach without natives hocking their wares, this is not the one for you. We enjoyed the beach beds and palm trees, there were some cabanas too, but they were all taken. The lunch was average. Lots and lots of people including little boys trying to sell us things they made like bracelets and jewelry, or others selling everything from shirts to hammocks.......didn't like to take no for an answer......... The beach was pretty and the water beautiful and clear..great place for little kids to swim, and some were just left in the water with their little "wings" on for hours.

We arrived about 2 hours after ship docked after taking the shuttle trolley @ $2 per person, but manager told us beach was full and they had to get some left over chairs and a small table for our group. I was a bit disappointed but our server, Marcam, was amazing and tried her best to keep us happy despite our frustration. Once a Bali bed and some loungers opened up, Marcam informed us immediately and she even moved all our things for us. She kept the drinks flowing and ensured that we were kept happy during our stay. I was highly impressed by her service! The drinks were delicious but the food offered was not very good except for the guacamole. I was happy with the service but I would not return in the future.

We wanted to break up a very busy touring week and relax for a day. YaYa Beach was the best place to relax for us and we all were very happy with the food, drinks and beach access. Very comfortable and relaxing! We had a great location on the beach, first on the water. This was much better than taking one of the tours, etc. offered by Royal Caribbean. We took the full access package and it was great. The four of us did not need a full open bar as we only had 2-3 drinks apiece. We would have rather had more food options instead, with a limited bar. The food was great but it would have been nice to have other options. Easy taxi ride to and from dock. Highly recommend reserving this day vacation!

We didn't know what to expect here. It turned out to be absolutely fabulous !! Everyone was friendly and we found a new favorite drink .. The Pina-chocolatta.. Yummy!! The food was great too!! Sergio and Carlos was great waiters and was there for us... The vendors were a little to much but they were pleasant and I did get some good deals.. We definitely will be back at Yaya beach... And wifi on top of it too!!

The weather on Turkey Day was a bust for our cruise-their beautiful blue water off the beach was brown :( And snorkeling out of the question. However-Roque took excellent care of us-kept the drinks coming-made delicious strawberry and lemon smoothies for my daughter and served us an excellent lunch. We had on/off rain showers and wind but everytime the weather turned he was there with a huge umbrella propped up against our table. Free wifi-clean bathrooms and showers. Probably the best service we have received throughout our trip. Can't wait to go back when the weather is better-I heard the snorkeling is great!

The beach was about a 5 minute taxi ride from the port. The beach reservation was confirmed. We had a nice beach area that was reserved for us and our server, Alex, was very attentive. The food and drink was very good. The beach did have a lot of seaweed but the water was nice. No crowds, etc. So glad we did this. Massage was 20$ and daughter got hair braided.

My husband and I just returned from our cruise where we had booked the excursion to Club Ya Ya. It was a very nice, relaxing place to soak up the beautiful sunshine. My husband enjoyed a jet ski while I caught up on local news back home using the free Wi-Fi that was provided. We both would definitely recommend the very reasonably priced massages from the ladies at Ya Ya. Roque kept us supplied with awesome strawberry smoothies...best ever!! The transportation to Club Ya Ya from the port was very inexpensive as was the cab ride back to port. All in all, a very, laid back kind of day!

We loved everything about Ya Ya. We did absolutely nothing all day but relax on the beach with an open bar. It doesn't get better than that! The food was awesome and so was the atmosphere. Save your self some money and book this rather than the expensive one on the ship. Recommended!
