    Excursion Restrictions
    • The minimum participation age is 4 years old. Guests must weigh a minimum of 40lbs (18Kg) to fit into the life jacket. Maximum weight is 350lbs (159Kg).
    • The minimum age to drive is 25 years old and must present a valid driver's license or other proof of age. 
    • Driver must be able to hear and understand English.
    • Maximum of 4 guests per boat and all eligible guests will have a chance to drive. Parties under three will share a boat.
    • The excursion route may change due to daily tide and weather variations.
    • This is not allowed for guests with mobility issues - no walkers, canes, scooters, strollers, or wheelchairs are permitted.

    For the Ketchikan Back Country Zodiac Wildlife Adventure Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 4 days prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

    For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

    • Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
    • Your ship skips/misses the port.
    • Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
    • Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
    • Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.

Our guide met us at the location pier on time and the transportation was waiting for us; The travel time was enjoyable and our guide started to explain what to expect from this experience so when we arrived we were super excited! The zodiac boats are super fun and easy to ride. We got to see beautiful wildlife and learn intresting facts about the region.

THE ZODIAC BOATS WERE FUN AND EASY TO DRIVE. THIS WAS A FUN WAY TO EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS. LIKE THE DESCRIPTION MENTIONED, THIS IS NOT AN EASY GOING! THE RIDE WAS FAST AND ROUGH BUT THAT WAS PART OF THE FUN. WE DID STOP IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS TO ADMIRE THE LANDSCAPE AND SOME SEA CREATURES THAT I HAD NOT SEEN ANY WHERE ELSE. WE ALSO GOT REAL CLOSE TO A SEA LION "ISLAND". IT WAS A LARGE ROCK AND HAD 20-3. SEA LIONS!

Driving the zodiac boat was awesome, I didn't have any experience, but the guide taught us how to do it, they were very professional and we felt safe during the whole tour, The equipment is top of the line and the boats look well maintained. This was so much better than sitting on a bus with a bunch of other people. We got out and experienced Alaska. The narration was entertained and you can tell the guides are real experts on the field.
