This was a great excursion and I’m so glad we did it. Our guide, Winston, was very wonderful and very helpful. The rides to and from the site were comfortable and informative, and we even stopped to pick up some local fruit from a roadside stand. Our group was small, only 6, but our guide warned us and was correct that the guides at the park would put us in with a lot of other people. This caused a lot of waiting and I wish it had just been our excursion group so we could have moved through more quickly.

The description said up to 12 falls. We only did 7. They said that the others were dry, so unable to do. Other then that, the tour was great. Our tour guide was Xander.

We took a chance on this tour off the ship and very glad we did. The meeting location was easy to follow (which was the most important for us) We met the friendly guide and took us to the vehicle that took us up and into the mountains and then guided us down the 12 water falls through jumps and slides. I would have never dreamed that something so fun was available off the ship. They made us feel welcome and safe from the ride there to the waterfalls and then back to the ship. I would recommend this to any adventure seeker out there who just wants to experience something totally unique.

Thank you to Shore Excursioneer for helping us make such a great memory for our 38th anniversary!! Our tour guide Hosea and our Park guide Alfredo were very attentive and took such good care of us!!! The hike up to the start of the falls was good exercise and definitely doable but one needs to be very careful with your footing on this hike! The jumps and slides and swims in the canyon-like pools are incredibly refreshing and the scenery in places is breathtaking!! Hosea was friendly and made us feel easily at home - explaining much of the countryside, characteristics of the DR and the ecological life of the park. Alfredo guided us throughout the climb and on way back down and really cared of our safety!!

The short version of this review is: book this excursion for the time of your life! Booked this excursion after reading the reviews and it is everything they state. (The local operator) met us outside the terminal where the instructions stated, and the welcome was wonderful. Sat in an air-conditioned van while waiting for the others to arrive and then after payment was made, we were off for the 25-minute drive to the nature park. Vincent was our fabulous guide and he gave us a history of his country during the drive and then gave us a briefing on what to expect once we arrived. Upon arrival, we were able to leave all our stuff in the van which was locked and watched by the company’s driver. (Other groups were required to rent lockers.) We then received our life vest and helmets and were introduced to our two park guides. Vincent also accompanied the 15 of us. Other tour groups were much larger. Our approximately 40-minute hike across rivers, up steps and through trails with several water breaks was paced slow enough that everyone was able to keep up. Once at the first jump, the guides were very instructive and supportive. It was scary for the first jump, but after that, the jumps and slides were so invigorating and the river refreshing. The guides really earned our respect for the lifting, pulling and assisting they did along the way, while constantly insuring we were safe. Once back at the facilities, we had time to change into dry clothes before boarding the van for a fun drive back, assisted by Vincent’s delicious rum punch. We were given the option by the park to have a photographer accompany us, which we did and were happy with the results. We received a flash drive with over 100 pictures and videos.

we made the walk from the pier to the meeting point, which was very easy to find. We were put on a really nice tour bus that was equipped with WiFi. Once arriving we were given equipment and started the trek up the mountain, which wasn't incredibly difficult. We had a 60 year old woman in our group that was able to make the journey. We then started the jumps and slides which was so much fun. Afterwards, we were given time to change clothes before loading up on the bus for the trip back. On the way back we were given rum punch and bananas as a treat. Our tour guide was Winston and he did a great job.

This was a brutal walk up to the top of the waterfalls. WE had to wear our water shoes and walk up/down stairs, some broken rails, and not one step was rock free. Had to walk on rocks. So have some GOOD water shoes and be prepared to make that brutal walk. Water falls were fun to jump and slide off, although 2 family members got hurt on the biggest jump. Again, this is a brutal walk but refreshing at the end. BUT, the gentlemen that guided us, were just fabulous and patience with me. Great guys.

I recently returned from a cruise I shared with my daughter and her family. My grandkids had selected the Damajagua Falls Jump and Slide tour as the one they wanted to experience. Loving (and trusting) my grandkids, I signed on for the tour as well. The hike to the falls took about 30 minutes and was probably the hardest part for me (just shy of 65 years old). The staff was patient and encouraging and took a few breaks on the way to make sure the group was rested and hydrated. After the initial heart-pounding “WHAT AM I THINKING!?” moments on the first jump, it was a wild and challenging adventure. The guides were wonderful. A young man (Aristides?) led us through the course. At one point he did a somersault off of one of the falls. They were mindful of our safety at all times and often held our hands to guide us through some tricky passages. Our one disappointment was that our Go-Pro wouldn’t work and we ended up with no visual proof of our skills and bravery. Winston got us back to the ship with rum punch and organic bananas to add to our sense of accomplishment. If you are looking for an excursion that is out of the ordinary and one that will challenge you…this is it!

Had a blast. The crew who runs this tour is top-notch. As soon as we arrived we knew we were in good hands. We always book outside the cruise lines and tours like this is why. The staff was professional, the buses were brand new with cold AC and free WiFi (I would suggest you bring your cellphones, etc.). The coordinator outside the port gates made a point to speak to all of us and to make sure we were comfortable with the AC level, the music volume and the WiFi information. Our guide, Coach Milton was amazing. You can tell everyone with this outfit is dedicated and proud of the country. When we got to the waterfalls, we had time for a restroom break then received our second bottle of water. We crossed a fair size river and many small streams before we started up-hill. There were 12 people in our group and the hike took about 35 minutes. The falls were incredible and we did 12 (the cruise ship tour only does 7 waterfalls and it does not include anything else). We were in the forest a little over 2 hours. After the falls we headed back to the port and drank rum punch and partied all the way. My friend does not drink so she had a soda that was offered and fresh fruit and coconut cookies. I stuck with the rum punch. I highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I recently cruised to Amber Cove (Carnival Magic, June 27) and booked, "Damajagua Waterfalls Jump & Slide" with (Tour Operator). We received a call from Addison to make sure we understood the meet instructions. She was a sweetheart. Addison sent us a really cute video to help us find them outside the port. The walk from the ship was about 15-minutes. We were greeted by Victor, received a cold bottle of water, then we were escorted by Jules to our air-conditioned bus. There were already people on board. In total there were about 16 of us - mostly couples. We had access to free, fast, WiFi and enjoyed some typical music. Jules provided a very detailed and very funny orientation on what to expect. Our "coach" was Winston. Were were really impressed with all the information we received on the way to the waterfalls (about 30-minutes). We sampled cassava. When we arrived to the falls, we received our life jacket and helmet and another bottle of water. We crossed a river which was exciting and started the uphill part...it is a workout so the reviews I read were correct. The jumping and sliding was so, so much fun. When we returned to the base, Winston started the party. A large cooler of awesome rum punch traveled with us back to the port. We had to walk from the main gates back to the ship because Carnival security would not allow the bus in but it was well worth the walk to and from and we would do it again in a heartbeat. GREAT TOUR. GREAT CREW!! 5 stars times 100!

This was the #1 BEST excursion I have ever done. We cruise at least twice a year with my family. While the rest of my family hit the beach, I took the jump & party tour alone. I was not alone for long! From the moment I was met outside the port with a cold bottle of water, I felt a part of the “jump team”! Jules told us in detail what to expect and she was very funny and informative. The drive to the forest and falls was lively and we learned a lot about the Dominican Republic. Our team was great and we all got along right away. Our jump coach, Winston, was awesome! He was with us from the port and for every jump and slide, was encouraging and very supportive and sweet. After jumping, sliding and swimming we had LOTS of the best rum punch! It was really, really good!! The bus ride back to the port was almost as fun as the jumping. We stopped at a fruit stand for bananas which was really nice. We listened to typical party music and I played a drum lol. Winston posed for photos with us all when we got back to the port and nobody wanted to get back on the ship! I will do this excursion again the next time I am at Amber Cove!

I have cruised a few times and this is the first time I bought a tour outside of the cruise line. I decided last minute and I am so glad I went with Shore Excursioneer. The operators of this tour were professional, funny and sincere. The walk to where you meet takes about 10 minutes but it is worth it for sure. We got a bottle of water right away and while we were waiting for the rest of the group, we used the free WiFi which was great. The ride to the waterfalls was about 30-minutes and I learned more than I expected to about the Dominican Republic and the people. At the waterfalls we had time to change and then we got our life jacket and helmet. Our guide was Milton and he was fantastic. He geared-up with us and did all the jumps first. I did all the jumps and slides but a couple of people used the wooden ladders instead of jumping on the tallest ones. When we got back to where we started the hike, a rum punch magically appeared in my hand. And then another. We all celebrated all the way back to the port. Milton was great and made sure we had full cups and lots of fun. I recommend this experience above all I have ever done when on a cruise.
